FLCC offers courses for daycare credentials

Starting Jan. 5, Finger Lakes Community College will offer classes leading to the national Child Development Associate certification at Creative Environment Day Care, 28 Main St., Macedon.

The 120-hour Child Development Association program consists of eight modules which may be taken in any order. Each five-week session is held Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The cost is $325 per module.

Students who complete the courses can get up to seven FLCC college credits toward a liberal arts degree with an emphasis in early childhood education.

A 45-hour Child Development Associate certification renewal course is also available for a total cost of $800.
